During the hottest months of summer, we have so many opportunities to enjoy friends and family, especially for the 4th of July! This holiday is known for BBQ’s, fireworks, and hot weather so it can be easy to fall through the cracks of forgetting things as well as safety.

The first tip towards having a safe celebration is making sure when launching fireworks you’re doing so in an area that isn’t too close to homes as well as in a device that is sturdy when launching. Also ensure when cooking out you put fires out upon completion, and cleaning up any trash that can be blown away through the night to reduce littering.

Having a nice cookout for the 4th is always an amazing idea! Making sure to maintain a list of those attending will also ensure there is plenty of burgers and dogs to go around, but also the idea of possibly having each person or those willing to bring a dish so you can enjoy
Considerations
Pets are also a hot topic for this holiday. Leave them INSIDE! Fireworks are loud and animals ears are amplified far greater than humans! With some pets it is truly terrifying to be around sudden loud sounds, and can cause drama and stress to your furry friends! Leaving them inside with water and food, and possibly sounds to distract such as a TV or people to comfort the animals inside is very helpful to also ensure a less stressful evening for your pets.
