Between the hustle and bustle of home life and work life, you may find it hard to enjoy yourself and budget your weekends. A good work-life balance is truly a way to find an escape while we run through our routines. Finding the best food spots that a rent an arm and a leg can be very complicated, but as well for date nights so can finding a place for a quick drink.

This is a locals guide on how to find cheap drinks – or free drinks here in Orlando. 

I know you may be thinking, finally, an article I can really use in my life? But of course! I’d like to  start off with the combination of food and drink. This is greta for a date night or for those who are Beer, Wine, whatever connoisseur. 

Happy Hour : food & drink.

Hawkers Asian fare ; Hawkers is great Viet food! It also has some typical favorites such as noodle dishes, meatballs, curry, and rice dishes. Definitely delicious options, as well as 3$ plates to snack on! The Happy Hour for this spot is 3pm to 6pm. This also includes 3$ select brews and house wines! 

Shakai Sushi ; One of my favorite! This Happy Hour menu is full of great food, from 5$ sushi rolls, 3$ hand rolls, and as well 3-5$ appetizers! The interior decor is gorgeous and really a suppose when walking into this small door way located on Pine St in the middle of downtown Orlando. The drink menu is loaded with 2$ domestics, 3$ house wines, Sake cocktails at 5$ as well! This special happy hour is from 5-7pm. 

Cheap eats

King Bao ; A great spot to stop on when close to Colonial, with combo specials from 6$ for 2 bao’s and a drink and 8$ for 3 bao’s and a drink. They have great selections and a wide range of flavors for their little handheld treats wrapped in a soft sweet bun! Great for a snack, or a cheap dinner. Next door there is also a bubble tea place that is highly rated and delicious secularizing in boba teas! 

Border Grill ; Love Mexican food? This place is the best! Cheap and authentic food, FAST! Located in a small unit in a strip mall, don’t judge it by it’s cover! Very fresh and prices you can’t beat, this is a great place for a quick bite as well as to show locals where a popular eats place is for us Orlando Locals. Border Grill is also open until midnight!
